Let’s Fish, South Australia
Fish Local, Support Local
Now is the time to help South Australian fishing businesses and communities who have been impacted by the algal bloom.
Your visit can make a difference, simply by planning a local fishing trip, booking a charter or buying your fishing gear at a local tackle store.
What is Let’s Fish South Australia
Let’s Fish Australia is an initiative of the Australian Fishing Trade Association to support South Australian fishing businesses and communities impacted by the algal bloom.
As part of this initiative, our goal is to showcase South Australia’s world-class fishing destinations as well as the species that remain unaffected, and connect you with local tackle stores that are open and ready to assist with gear and advice.
So, is it safe to fish in South Australia?
With up to 70% of our coastline unaffected and fresh water reservoirs still open, fishing is still good to go.
For the latest news, information and updates about the algal bloom currently affecting some coastal areas of South Australia, please refer to the government algal bloom response website.
Ready to Cast Your Line?
We’re working with South Australian fishing businesses and experts to bring you up-to-date fishing reports on what’s happening and what’s biting in the local area, so you can get out and enjoy a successful fishing trip while supporting your local community.
If you would like to contribute to the Fishing Report, please email admin@afta.net.au.
