Social Media Competition Terms

  1. Information regarding the prize and how to enter forms part of these conditions. By entering, entrants accept these conditions.
  2. This giveaway is only open to South Australian residents who are 18 years of age and over (Individual Entrants).
  3. Directors, management, and employees (and the immediate families of directors, management, and employees) of Australian Fishing Trade Association trade partners or of the companies or agencies associated with this giveaway are ineligible to enter.
  4. The competition run dates are 5th November 2025 to 7th December 2025. The competition may be advertised on the Let’s Fish Australia website, on the Let’s Fish Australia Facebook page, and Let’s Fish Australia AU Instagram page.
  5. To enter, entrants must do the following:
    1. Comment on the corresponding weekly post located on the Let’s Fish Australia Facebook or Instagram account with an answer to the skill question & tag 3 friends.
  6. Individual Entrants may enter as many times as they like during the promotional period. 
  7. This is a game of skill. The winner will be selected using a criteria by the team at Australian Fishing Trade Association each week until the competition closes 7/12/25. 
  8. Entries will be judged based on the following criteria:
    1. Creativity: How creative and engaging is the entrant’s response to the question, “Who is your favourite SA tackle store and why you love them?”
    2. Relevance: The response must clearly relate to the question and be thoughtful in expressing why the entrant loves their chosen tackle store.
    3. Engagement: Entrants must tag three friends in their comment. This will be considered as part of their overall entry, with a focus on engagement and encouraging friends to participate.
  9. Australian Fishing Trade Association reserves the right to verify all entries and disqualify any that do not comply with these Terms and Conditions or involve inappropriate or fraudulent activity. Winners may be required to provide proof of identity, residency, or entry validity, as determined at the discretion of the Australian Fishing Trade Association.
  10. Incomplete, indecipherable, or illegible entries will be deemed invalid. Prizes cannot be transferred.
  11. Any entry that is made on behalf of an Entrant by a third party will be invalid.
  12. The winning entrant will be contacted via direct message on the social media platform used for entry to the competition and will be asked to provide their phone number and mailing address details.
  13. The prize pool is as pictured in the giveaway artwork or stipulated in the giveaway post text. Prizes will be determined, supplied, and distributed by the participating brands — Sea Pro/AFN, Samaki, Daiwa Australia, Yamashita, Atomic & Gamakatsu, Halco Tackle, Jackall, Jarvis Walker, Response Life Jackets, Strike Pro Lures, Shimano, Wilson Fishing, Nomad, Penn, Rapala VMC, River2Sea, Tackle Tactics, and Tacspo Distributing — who are responsible for the fulfilment and delivery of their respective prizes.
  14. Australian Fishing Trade Association’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  15. Australian Fishing Trade Association reserves the right to appoint a new winner if the winner cannot be contacted within seven (7) days or if the prize cannot be redeemed by the winner.
  16. The prize will be either emailed, shipped to the winner or available to collect in-store as determined by the brand providing the prize.
  17. Prizes are not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash or other products..
  18. Australian Fishing Trade Association and its associated agencies and companies will not be liable for any loss, damage, or injury incurred in connection with the promotion or prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.
  19. Australian Fishing Trade Association will not be liable for any damage or delay in transit to the prize.
  20. This competition may be communicated or advertised on Meta platforms, but it is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by Meta. Entrants are providing their information to Australian Fishing Trade Association and not to Meta. Entrants completely release Meta from any liability.
  21. Prize acceptance by the winner’s companions also signifies acceptance of these conditions.
  22. Australian Fishing Trade Association may cancel, terminate, modify, or suspend the giveaway or these terms and conditions at any time and for any reason before the close of entry and shall not be liable to any entrant or prize winner for any loss or damage incurred as a result.
  23. The laws of Australia govern these terms and conditions.
